2010 National Champions!!

I would not classify myself as a sports fan by any means, but with one exception…college baseball! Aaron and I traveled back to Waco in 2005 when Baylor hosted Clemson in the super-regionals. {The Bears won and headed to Omaha!} We also took a trip to Omaha in 2008 to attend the College World Series with my cousin and his family. With this year having been the last CWS played at Rosenblatt Stadium, we are so glad we made the trip a couple of years ago, but cannot wait to head back and experience the new stadium!

We were so excited to cheer on our hometown team this year, and even more excited to see them come home as 2010 National Champions!!

We headed to the pep rally to welcome the team home. Thank goodness for the IPad, as the wait for the team’s arrival was quite long! They replayed the last inning of the game to get the crowd pumped. Finally the team arrived- trophy in hand- and made their victory lap around the coliseum. Of course Cocky made his appearance too…Emory’s favorite part! I’m secretly praying Baby Boy grows up to be a baseball player for the Gamecocks or Bears!!! {Otherwise, I’ll be having to practice looking interested in any other sport. Ugh!}

Way to go Cocks!! We’re so proud of you! I knew I picked the right sport to love!!
