Back in Business!

We’re officially home from our last beach trip of the summer.  I feel like the Dupree Household is back in business after a long hiatus.

We’re exhausted beyond belief… IMG_3473 copy But there’s not much time for rest.

School begins in just over a week. For both Baby Boy and Baby Girl. We’ve got backpacks to pack. School supplies to buy. A school-year-schedule to get back on. IMG_3477 copy Registration for the new dance year begins next week. We’ve got a new computer system to learn. A new website to launch. A studio to clean and get ready for a new round of little ballerinas.IMG_3486 copy While we’re looking forward to the consistent schedule that comes with the school year, we hate to see our summer end. We have embraced the spontaneity of our non-scheduled days with open arms, and run ourselves ragged with all that we’ve tried to see and do. We’ve lunched with friends, swam with friends and “play-dated” with friends. We’ve ignored bed times and skipped naps. We’ve packed and unpacked our bags, loaded and unloaded our car, arrived at and departed from the beach too many times to count. IMG_3488 copy We’ve most definitely made many memories in the last couple of months. We plan to enjoy a little down time between the start of school and Baby Number Three’s arrival, but we’ll surely be itching for the warmth of next summer in no time!

{I hope to squeeze in a little blogging as well, considering I’ve got tons of pictures that haven’t yet been posted!}IMG_3495 copy

Granddaddy bought Baby Girl a doughnut as we left the beach at 8am this morning. It wasn’t until about 4pm that she finally decided she was ready to eat it {although she had asked for it as soon as she got in the car}, but she didn’t get through more than a few bites before crouching down and falling asleep right there in the kitchen chair among all the sprinkles!
