Visiting Sumter

We headed to Sumter for a long overdue visit to Aaron’s grandparents’ house. We arrived just in time for his grandmother’s famous dinner: fried shrimp, mac and cheese, hush puppies, green beans and fruit salad. It was delicious! Watson ate every bite of his and even had some seconds {not surprising}. Emory {very surprisingly!} finished her plate as well!

The kids loved playing with new-to-them toys. Baby Boy couldn’t get enough of riding on the airplane.Starred Photos179 Within minutes of playing, there were already toys from one end of the living room to the other. But the kids had a blast.IMG_2871 The soon-to-be birthday girl got to open an early gift—a dress up Minnie Mouse doll and an extra outfit! Starred Photos183 Uncle Richard, Aunt Beatriz and Aunt Anne stopped by for desert…and with another gift in tow! She liked the cards just as well as she liked the gifts! Aunt Anne knew exactly what Emory loves…jewelry!Starred Photos184Finally, Grandmama pulled out her homemade key lime pie and Daddy couldn’t get a taste with Baby Boy demanding his own taste. As he does with all food, he thoroughly enjoyed it! IMG_2910

We changed the kids into their jammies and packed them back into the car to head home, but not without thanking the grandparents for a wonderful visit! We look forward to doing it again with three kids not to long from now!

Funny story...Gracie was just looking at the computer while I read this post, and she said "That's Emwy!" I responded, "That's right! Where did you just go with Emory?" Gracie's answer: "To the potty!"
Ha! Guess we know what's important to a two-year-old! Love you!
