Summer Field Trip: The Blueberry Farm

We enjoyed our trip to the strawberry farm so much, that we couldn’t wait to go pick blueberries!

Erin and Callie joined us early morning (to avoid the heat!) at the blueberry farm.  IMG_2913 copy We hit the farm perfectly mid-season, so there were tons of berries. The girls got to picking right away.IMG_2914 copy IMG_2918 copy Emory wanted to hold Callie’s hand, but Callie didn’t like that idea!IMG_2920 copy Emory was off on her own for a while, and while she picked a ton of blueberries…IMG_2926 copy…most of them didn’t make it to the bucket! IMG_2923 copy  The girls got a little tired midway through and the mommies had to finish up most of the work. IMG_2928 copy  Callie finally decided to sit and conduct her own little taste-test. IMG_2934 copy We each picked over a gallon of blueberries and they were delicious!!IMG_2932 copyWe headed out, ready to turn our blueberries into something delicious for our Fourth of July celebration, but can’t wait to head back to pick more before blueberry season ends! Thanks Miss Erin and Callie Boo for joining us!!IMG_2938 copy

Fun! I wish we had blueberry (or strawberry) farms around here! I think the nearest ones are over an hour away. My girls would love the blueberry farm, they LOVE blueberries, especially Blueberry Pancakes!

Do you remember the name of the garm where y'all picked blueberries last year?
