One of the most anticipated events of the year.
Only trumped by Christmas. And birthdays. And maybe a really fun week at the beach.
Even Emory asks when it’s time for Bird Fest, mama? throughout the year.
This year was even more fun with having two kiddos running around.
At first we stuck close to our tent.
Coloring…
And having a few beverages. In a Bird Fest koozie. Just like the grown ups.
Watson shed his shoes to bust a move. As would any die hard Bird Fest attendee.
We made sure and stop by to say ‘hello’ to Bird himself.
And this Bird Fest first-timer had a blast.
He even sported the same outfit his big brother wore to Bird Fest last year.As all of the kids get older, they have a blast playing together. Hazle brought her wagon, which she so kindly shared.
As Watson got tired and grumpy, we knew we could count on Alex to cheer him up. And give him a fro.
And this one didn’t need any cheering up.
All too soon the sun began to set and the kids began to fade. Our time at Bird Fest was drawing to a close, which we were all sad about.
We packed up and headed home, but already anticipating Bird Fest 2012!!
