{I’ve gotten slack about monthly posts. I have a hard time recalling what’s new and exciting about each month, so a detailed post is difficult to come by! Sorry Boland!}
Poor third kid. He’s basically forced to entertain himself. And lay on a pink blanket.But he remains happy. My sweet little boy.
He’s finally sitting up on his own, which keeps him occupied for long stretches.
And his first two teeth {bottom middle} are just about to cut, and he’s having a little drool fest {literally} to celebrate.
His big blue eyes have stayed very big and very blue, which I love. His big sister’s eyes are blue as well, but totally different. His are a dark, but very vibrant, blue.
After fighting an ear infection for almost two months, we’re finally clear! We’ve been through two antibiotics, numbing drops and three shots to kill the infection. The next step was scheduling for tubes to be put in, but we avoided that by the skin of our teeth, thank goodness!
Baby Boy had his first taste of rice cereal a couple months ago, but we didn’t continue with food until recently because he really wasn’t very interested. I finally made some big batches of a handful of fruits and veggies and he’s loving them. We’ve also been eating yogurt and he just started eating puffs.
His sister and brother continue to be in love with him and are such wonderful helpers. I anticipated a little bit of an adjustment period when the boys began sharing a room in the new house, but we were surprised that the transition was relatively smooth. Both boys go to bed at 8pm and have no trouble falling asleep. Occasionally we’ll go in to give Boland his paci, but normally we don’t hear from him again until about 6am the next morning! I think having the boys share a room is going to be an adorable thing!
For the most part he is absolutely the most laid back, happy baby with an incredibly sweet disposition. He’s so good at entertaining himself, but then so appreciative of any little bit of attention anyone gives him. We do have an occasional cry, but they’re few and far between, so we think we’ll keep him. :)
Happy six months Boland! I can’t believe you’re halfway through your first year!
