Emory’s Last Day of School

Is this a joke? Can this really be Emory’s very last day of preschool? It seems just yesterday I was dropping her off for her first day in Ms. Vickie’s class and in two short months she’ll start at her new ‘big girl’ school. I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t cried about it {multiple times}. This has been such an amazing year for Emory. She has made so many great friends and learned more than I ever expected.  I know Emory will miss her friends, but I’m gonna miss so many of the moms and teachers too! I felt like I was always there doing some sort of activity and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that her new school welcomes parent involvement as much as this school.  It breaks my heart that she won’t be there anymore, but luckily the boys will both be there for a handful of years.

For the kids’ last day, the school hosted a picnic in the courtyard. The kids ate lunch, then got to play with frisbees that the teachers made for them. IMG_9825I got there a few minutes early so I could get a picture of Emory with Ms. Liz and Ms. Vickie before the rush of dismissal. Emory’s teachers most definitely hold a special place in her heart, and I know we’ll be sure and stop by to say ‘hey’ many times next year.IMG_9828I know we’ll have many more wonderful teachers in our future, but I can truly say I think we had the best of the best this year!IMG_9831

{Watson had fabulous teachers as well, but we missed getting pictures of them because he was home sick on his last day. Fortunately he won’t be leaving anytime soon and we’ll continue to enjoy them for a while!}
